I am one homeowner that did not like the president's note re: the planned security updates. It was written as if all the "phases" had been agreed upon by the board and were to take place. I have heard from other homeowners that are also frustrated regarding this and in one instance they made their issue known by contacting the president himself as well as the management company. I hope that more people speak up now or this project will happen even if only a handful of homeowners feel it is necessary! Once again it feels as if a new board member is taking over and doing whatever he/she wishes with our community and dollars.

I agree with Dora's comments about the president's message that was recently sent to the community. In my opinion, it did imply that all the security phases had been approved, when in fact, much of it was just ideas that were put forward. It is certainly worth considering these ideas as a community, but we must also strongly consider whether the documented crime in our community justifies the potential long- and short-term security costs. After attending a Seabridge safety meeting featuring HB Neighborhood Watch and an HB police officer a few months back, I came away with the impression that the crime rate within our community does not justify many of the changes discussed in the president's communication. Also, as a 12-year resident of Seabridge, I haven't heard about or witnessed a crime level that would call for installing cameras, logging when residents and visitors enter and exit, and other options that are being considered.
